I am trying to fix up the original 5 seasons of RedvsBlue because the original video set up is horrible & I have a bit of a problem. I can get the type of set up I want with one Season but due to each season having different types of cropping areas I can not get each Season to match other. I want the 2nd image to match the first image & the other Seasons I would like them to match the first image but as I said the cropping for each season is a bit different & as I said my goal is to get the 2nd image to match the first image

I made a dvd of all the family shorts that we did over the year of 2004. I then started a project that my wife wanted me to do for a christmas present and wanted to use one of the short clips from this previously made, working fine dvd. So I hooked up my canon GL2 to the dvd player and used it as a passthru to capture the short portion that I wanted, it captured fine. I then edited the Christmas video for my wife, now I need to personalize this video for 4 different families so I did this with my kids. I wanted to backup the video to my camera without a personilzation in the begining in case I need to redo it for someone. When I record it back to my GL2 it gets to the point of the video where I captured from the dvd of FAMILY UNCOPY PROTECTED VIDEO!! and the camera shuts off and says "copyright protected recording prohibited"???? What the .... happened.
Has anyone heard of using a camera as a pass thru and the camera puts some kind of signal on the video to say its copy protected even though the original is a HOME MOVIE?? I tried making a .avi and sending it back with the same results, I tried my Sony digital 8mm as the backup with the same results. I am doing this in premiere 6.0.
Any suggestions??
I'm not exactly sure when this occurred but Gentoo is no longer able to see dvd's. lsdvd, cd-info all return /dev/dvd no media found when a dvd is inserted. I can read cds fine and I booted up the evil windows partition and I can read DVD's just fine. Anyone seeing anything similar. I found a similar issue but it mentioned Plextor and I have a Lite-ON.

I don't see this all of the time but it does happen on occassion and don't know what's causing it or what can fix it. Here's the problem...
I'll import my file and demux, then I set the chapter points, I double check each chapter point before and after creating the menu and links, all right on the mark. But then, once I play my burned DVD back on my topset, some of the chapter points are off by a few seconds (generally 2-3 secs). This doesn't happen all of the time but it does happen. Anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?
The video file I'm using is in MPEGII format DVD-Compliant, capture with a Dazzle DVC150, avg/max bitrate set to 4200/6000.
Any help would be appreciated,
ChachiFace
So I am a bit puzzled as to why my MTS/M2TS files do not have a video stream when I open them in Vegas Pro 8. I only get the audio stream. I am recording video with video with Panasonic TS1 digital camera in AVCHD Lite format (720p). I then take out the SD card and import the MTS file.
I am trying to figure out a way to edit and compress with a single program. I am able to convert to other formats using Handbrake, acvhd_convert, and Virtualdub, and then use it in Vegas, but I would like to skip that step.
Thanks!
I am using KDE 3.2 with the VESA driver, it works fine, but my IBM T40 laptop has a ATI Radeon Mobility M7 video adapter so I wanted to use the radeon driver instead of the VESA. As far as I know my video adapter is not supported by ATI (at least not for Linux). Therefore I chose the open source drivers (emerge xfree-drm). "modprobe radeon" worked.
Here is my lsmod output:
tux log # lsmod
Module Size Used by Not tainted
radeon 122176 0 (unused)
agpgart 24876 1
But when I replace "vesa" by "radeon" in my XF86Config file I get the following error:

Does anyone understand what goes wrong here? And how to fix it?

I’ve recently converted to a Mac from PC where I used both the excellent Vegas and also Winavi to carry out conversions between different file formats.
Moving to the Mac I find the available video converters in QT, iMovie and Final Cut quite restrictive and lacking in formats. I’ve upgraded with things like flip4mac etc. but I’ve found rendering on the Mac incredibly slow.
I also run Virtual PC and find that Winavi can still run conversions in real time+ to mpeg etc. so I have no doubt that the machine is more than capable of rendering at decent speeds. I just seem to be having difficulty a native Mac application that meets my needs.
Basically I’d like either a stand alone programme or editor that allows import and reasonably fast conversion of AVI, mpeg, wmv, real, mov, etc. to and from the respective formats. I could carry on using Winavi in emulation but that just seems bad practice and not what I bought the Mac for.
I’ve found the conversion to a Mac a pleasurable and painless process on the whole but have to say that on the whole I’ve not been in any way impressed with video applications or their flexibility. On the video side it feels like a backward step at the moment.
If someone could provide some guidance and point me towards some good programmes then it’ll be very much appreciated.

Hi!
I have bought a laptop that have a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900 video card. I'm installing gentoo on it, now I'm at the point to install xorg, but don't know what to use in VIDEO_CARDS. Can someboady tell me what do I have to insert there? Is it maybe the i810?
Thank You.
